Registering your SMS Sender ID in the UAE involves a specific process to ensure compliance with local regulations. Follow these steps to successfully register your SMS Sender ID with both Du and Etisalat. Below are the detailed instructions and required documents.
Required Documents:
- Du Form B: Fill in the details, date, stamp, and sign.
- NOC for Etisalat: Fill in the details, print on company letterhead, sign, stamp, and share along with other required documents.
- Valid Trade License (TL) or Decree
- Establishment Card
- Authorized Signatory Emirates ID
- Power of Attorney (POA) / Letter of Authorization (LOA), if applicable
Steps for Registration:
- Complete the Forms:
- Du Form B: Fill out all necessary details, add the date, and ensure the form is stamped and signed.
- Etisalat NOC: Fill out the necessary details and print it on your company’s letterhead. Ensure it is signed and stamped.
- Prepare Additional Documents:
- Valid Trade License or Decree: Provide a valid company Trade License, Establishment Card, or Decree as applicable.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC): Ensure the NOC is signed by the authorized signatory as defined in your company’s Trade License or Power of Attorney. It must be on the company letterhead with the company stamp and signature.
- Authorized Signatory Emirates ID: Include a copy of the Emirates ID of the authorized signatory.
- POA/LOA: If applicable, include the Power of Attorney or Letter of Authorization.
- Review the Sender ID Registration Template:
- Follow the sender ID registration template provided in the attached notification for each sender ID required.
- Ensure the sender ID is not a generic name, name of a person, or place. It must be relevant and specific to your company.
- Sender ID Requirements:
- Transactional SMS: The sender ID should be between 3 and 11 characters, including allowed special characters: -(dash), _(underscore), .(dot), ’(single quote), &(ampersand), and space.
- Non-Transactional SMS: The sender ID must include the prefix “AD-” and be within 11 characters, with a maximum of 8 characters (including spaces). No other special characters are allowed.
- Relationship Document:
- Provide a registered trademark or tradename document if the sender ID and company name are different.
- File Submission:
- Share a filled draft copy of the documents to verify details.
- Ensure the file size does not exceed 5MB.
- Digital signatures must be verifiable with a certificate, or documents must be physically scanned directly to PDF in color.
- UAE Pass is recommended for digital signing as it is free and convenient.
Timeline:
- The sender ID registration process will take 3-5 working days, subject to operator approval.
Important Notes:
- Copy-pasted stamps and signatures are not allowed.
- Ensure documents are signed either digitally (verifiable with a certificate) or physically and scanned directly to PDF in color.
